Reiki is a Japanese technique for reducing stress and encouraging healing and relaxation. It treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. The client can either lay down on cushions or be seated in a chair, they remain fully clothed for the treatment. The therapist places their hands on, or a few inches from, the client and channels energy to different points in the body.
